I've only met janettetoral once in real life. This was about a year ago, at the Coffee Bean in GB3, Makati. syndeo::media has looking for someone who could do market research for a potential venture, and given the nature of the data we were looking for, she seemed like the logical person to ask. The information we were looking for involved diaspora internet usage broken down by country and demographic -- a challenging requirement, to say the least. We spent about an hour talking about the various ways you could gather this data and the logistics involved in such an effort. I remember I also spent some time playing around with her HSDPA modem (the experience being what eventually convinced me to get my own a few months later).
The reason I relate this story now is because it's been a year and I still haven't really worked out how to gather this data. It's not that important anymore, because the venture we were going to use the data for eventually fell through, but it seems like the kind of data that'd be very relevant to anyone who needed to do diaspora-specific marketing.
